Student Grand Prize: 5-day trip for two to Springfield, IL, on April 14, 2005, an invitation to read his/her essay at the nationally televised opening ceremonies of the Lincoln Museum, $1,500 cash.
Teacher Grand Prize: The faculty member, designated by the grand prize winning student or his/her school, will receive round trip transportation and accommodations to attend the Museum opening ceremonies on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.
First Prizes (9): 5-day trip for two to Springfield, IL, on April 14, 2005 and $750 cash
Honorable Mention Prizes (20): $50 cash.

Comments: Submit an essay not to exceed 272 words (the same number of words in the Gettysburg Address) with their own thoughts about "new birth of freedom" in the 21st century.
