Shocklines Daily Newsletter Contest

1x per email  |  home page  |  post a note  ·   ·  link

On December 10th, we're going to choose a winner randomly from anyone on our Shocklines Daily email list, and that person will receive an ultra-rare advance bound galley (uncorrected proof) of the 1998 anthology Legends featuring novellas from by Stephen King (The Little Sisters of Eluria), Robert Jordan, George R. R. Martin, Orson Scott Card, Terry Goodkind, Terry Pratchett, Tad Williams, Robert Silverberg, Ursula K. LeGuin, Anne McCaffrey, and Raymond E. Feist (each story takes place in the universe that the author has set up a novel series around)! This galley has never been read and is in very good/near fine condition (a little wear along the top edge). Aside from being a great book, it's a must-have for any collector of King, Jordan, Goodkind, Martin, etc.

Comments: Shocklines.com specializes in horror literature and collectibles. They carry a lot of hard to find items. This company holds contests regularly for highly collectible horror items like rare books and artwork.

Three notes from an email I received from them:

1. For horror book collectors who like being in-the-know, they're starting a short daily newsletter (skipping a few days here and there) to bring you alerts of changes in publication schedules, new products announced, items they are close to being sold out on, "buzz" about upcoming projects, items that just arrived on their shelves that day, and more stuff along those lines.

2. Additionally, several times a month they will send exclusive coupon codes that only appear in the Shocklines Daily newsletter, usually for items that they may not have enough stock on to offer to the weekly newsletter list which reaches thousands of people.

3. They plan to have more contests on a regular basis.

The coupon codes they send out with the weekly newsletter are generally pretty good. I have ordered from them in the past and the company has great stuff, so if you like horror novels, I suggest you take a look! They also run auctions through ebay and you can get some great deals.
